Unclogging a Clogged Drain

Unclogging drains in your house can be quite the hassle, as the first step you reach for is the plumber. Or, you reach for the drain unblocker, which can be quite tough. But, even the store bought products don’t always help with unclogging your drain. Did you know that there’s an easy and cheap way out for this? All you need to do is follow these steps: pour 1/2 a cup of baking soda down the drain, and pour 1/2 a cup of apple cider vinegar right afterwards. Do not forget to cover this up as it can erupt like a tiny volcano in your sink. Because, you know, science. Wait for about 5 minutes, and turn on some hot water to rinse it away completely.

Saving a Burnt Pot

Pots that you cook frequently in, can end up having a scorched bottom, which is incredibly hard to get clean again. From now on, you can save your pots with baking soda. This is what you should do: scrape the pan as clean as possible from any food residues, sprinkle some baking soda on the bottom of the pan and then fill it to a quarter with water. Then, boil that for a while, turn off the burner and leave the pan to stand overnight. The next morning you can empty the pan and scrub any stubborn stains out of the pan. You can use a scouring sponge to clean it up.
